Quality Management: a key concept in the health sector
General public interest in various aspects of the health sector is currently on the increase. By law, health institutions are required to develop a functioning quality management system and create greater transparency, together with meaningful documentation, on-going quality improvement and enhanced efficiency.
Both patients and the public in general are demanding improved quality.
Quality management is stipulated by law for all hospitals.
Put simply, this implies handling, observing and improving diagnosis, treatment and care procedures. The concept therefore comprises all activities and processes involved in safeguarding the organisation of all aspects of work and the corresponding procedures.
Our house strives for a highly professional approach, an excellent quality of treatment and care, high patient satisfaction and good treatment outcomes. The statutory requirements to develop a quality management system support us in our efforts.
Our quality policy is transparent. It is reflected in clear and simple organisation, workflow and communication structures, together with a detailed performance description. This entails close integration of economic, medical and pastoral activities in an overall holistic approach.
The control, assurance and improvement of quality is a management task. All employees are expected to play an active role in identifying, implementing and evaluating measures to improve quality. We understand quality management as a process of constant development and adaptation along the lines of a continuous improvement process. Communicating the quality policy on an internal and external level is one of the essential principles of our quality management.
