Things you should bring from home

When you attend our day clinic, you can already be living back at home again but still come to us in the Geriatric Centre to receive your treatment. You will be given a "timetable" to show you exactly when you will be receiving which therapy. It goes without saying that we also allow enough time for meals and for breaks!

The EGZB will look after the most important things for you: we organise transport to our day clinic and back, we provide you with warm meals and we give you all the medication you need.

However, there are a few things you should bring with you from home:

  • Health insurance card
  • Verification of any additional insurance cover
  • X-rays, if you have any: CT and MRI images
  • Laboratory results and ECG
  • Long-term medication: important! Show your pills to the doctor who examines you on arrival. They can then be given to your family when they visit, because you will receive any medication you need from the hospital during your stay.
  • Vaccination card, X-ray card
  • Pyjamas or nightdress, dressing gown
  • Slippers
  • Underwear, socks, comfortable clothing (for physio- and occupational therapy)
  • Towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, flannels, possibly a container for artificial denture
  • Brush and comb, razor, cosmetics, nail scissors/file
  • Small change, but please do not bring any larger sums of money with you
  • Book/magazine for the breaks between therapy

Please leave the following at home:

  • Medication that you do not take regularly
  • Wristwatches, expensive jewellery and other valuables
  • Larger sums of money
  • Pets
