Holistic physiotherapy with the Bobath method

Our physiotherapists use the Bobath concept that views movements always in the context of the whole body and not just in isolation. Our nursing staff also use the Bobath concept in their daily work; in the case of stroke patients, for instance, they deliberate include the side of the body affected by paralysis. When helping the patient to get dressed for example, they will ensure that the patients always get their trousers on the paralysed leg first. The physiotherapists also introduce the family carers to the Bobath principles in order to sustain the patients' capabilities once they have returned home.

Physiotherapy is offered in groups or individual therapy. Every ward has a sizable group room; we also have a large exercise pool with plenty of daylight. The day clinic offers two rooms each for individual therapy and group sessions.

Together with Bobath therapy, we also offer the following forms of physiotherapy:

  • Manual lymphatic drainage
  • Massage
  • Stool exercises
  • Electrotherapy
  • Hay therapy
  • Initiation in own programmes
